A long time Jackson Ave favorite has a new room. Dutch Kills says Debbie's is now open, with live music upstairs at the bar.

Debbie's runs Friday and Saturday from 8 PM to 2 AM. The bar itself keeps its usual hours: Sunday to Thursday 5 PM to 2 AM, and Friday and Saturday 5 PM to 3 AM. The space can also be booked for events.

The October lineup posted on the site mixed DJ nights on Fridays with jazz trios and quartets on Saturdays, including the Jun Iida Trio, the David Bailis Trio, the Max Johnson Quartet and the Tetsuro Hoshii Trio. For vinyl DJ sets, the bar points people to its Instagram.

Dutch Kills opened on May 1, 2009, and is named for the old Dutch Kills creek and hamlet that became part of Long Island City in 1870. See the Dutch Kills directory listing and the Debbie's announcement.

Discussion, as always, is in the neighborhood discussion board.
