The TCS New York City Marathon runs on Sunday, November 1, and it comes right through Long Island City. Runners cross the Pulaski Bridge at the halfway mark, wind through miles 14 and 15 on 11th Street, Vernon Boulevard, 44th Drive and Crescent Street, then head up the Queensboro Bridge. This year NYRR is celebrating 50 years of the five borough course.

Our new guide, A Guide to the NYC Marathon in Long Island City (November 2026), has the route street by street, last year's closure times, the subway and ferry options, NYRR's tips for cheering, and local businesses on and near the course.

NYC DOT's 2026 notice for the race lists the same LIC streets as last year. The City's full 2026 closure and no parking list is not out yet, and we will update the guide as soon as it is.
