The JACX food hall is now METTRA, with a grand opening Oct 29 and 30
The food hall at 28-17 Jackson Avenue, formerly JACX&CO, is now METTRA under new management, with a two-day grand opening on October 29 and 30.

If you have grabbed lunch at the big food hall at 28-17 Jackson Avenue, you may have noticed a new name. JACX&CO is now METTRA. It is under new management, with a new look and vendors from around the world, from ramen and matcha to Thai food, Sichuan hot pot and soft serve, plus a center bar.
They are celebrating with a two-day, flight-themed grand opening:
- Thursday, October 29, 12 to 4 PM: a preview event with a ribbon cutting, a DJ and dance performances.
- Friday, October 30, 7 PM to midnight: the grand opening party, with DJs, dance performances, a raffle, food and drinks, and a surprise they are saving for that night.
For $25 there is a METTRA Tasting Passport, good for a signature tasting from participating vendors, one drink from the Center Bar or Unmei Matcha, and a raffle ticket for the October 30 drawing.

- Where: 28-17 Jackson Avenue, right by Queens Plaza
- Hours: every day, 9 AM to 11 PM (some vendors close earlier). Happy hour is 4 to 7 PM daily.
