NYC Parks lists it as a playground of 0.52 acres in ZIP code 11101, in Community Board 2. The Hunters Point Parks Conservancy also calls it Shady Park, and held a volunteer cleanup there in May 2025 to paint the iron fence and rake leaves.

The sign at the gate gives operating hours of 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Pets, bikes and glass bottles are not allowed.

The Long Island City Community Garden is on the same block. More: our directory listing for Andrews Grove.
